Brain nutrition to balance your dopamine.

Importance of Dopamine

Dopamine Is One Of The Most Important
Nutrients Needed By Your Body!

Brain nutrition to balance your dopamine.

Good Morning:

I have been purchasing Neu-Becalm'd the past 3 - 4 years for my son who has been on Ritlin until 5 years ago.

He didn't want to eat anything and he couldn't sleep at night - he was hard to live with and at school he needed constant help to keep his work up.

I ordered these vitamins because I did not want him on a drug anymore.

It took a few weeks after I started giving him the vitamins - he was in Grade 10 at the time (15-16- years old) before I realized there were no calls coming in for me from the resource teachers at the high school so I thought I should check it out.

I gave the high school a call and held my breath while I asked the question - How is everything going with Tom?

Oh the teacher replied - I have been meaning to call you. He is doing just fine and is starting to take reponsibility for his school tasks. I was thrilled to hear this.

But even more Tom was starting to feel pretty good and it has been that way every since. He is in his first year of college and is doing very well and adjusting - ....but always makes sure he has his supply of Neu-Becalm'd vitamins.

The importance of dopamine can be demonstrated by the benefits that you receive from dopamine. Dopamine is often called "the happy neurotransmitter" because when we have plenty of dopamine we have . . .

  • Feelings of pleasure
  • Feelings of attachment/love
  • Sense of altruism (unselfish concern for the welfare of others)
  • Integration of thoughts and feelings
We we have Dopamine Deficiencies . . .

  • Anhedonia (lack of pleasure)
  • Lack of ability to feel love, sense attachment to another
  • Lack of remorse about actions
  • Distractibility

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter located in our Central Nervous System making it one of our most important neurotransmitters.

Norepinephrine (another neurotransmitter in our CNS) is manufactured from dopamine.

To demonstrate the importance of dopamine and norepinephrine even further, simply look at the drugs (medications) prescribe to our children diagnosed with ADHD,

Dopamine, along with Norepinephrine, has come to be recognized as playing a large role in attention and focus. For people with ADD/ADHD, psychostimulant medications such as Ritalin/Concerta (methylphenidate), Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine), and Adderall (a racemic mixture of amphetamine salts) are prescribed to help increase levels of norepinephrine and dopamine.

Strattera (atomoxetine), a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, is a unique ADD/ADHD medication, as it affects only norepinephrine, rather than dopamine.

Normally we are not born with a "need" for any medical drug. If we just stop and think logically, we know that well before there were medical drugs . . . humans survived.

The human brain is very capable of automatically manufacturing the quantity of chemicals it needs if it isgiven the raw materials (Nutrients From Foods) to do so!

Dopamine is widespread in the brain as well as the rest of the nervous system. This neurotransmitter plays a critical role in the control of movement.

It has a stimulating effect on the heart, the circulation, the rate of metabolism, and is able to mobilize many of the body's energy reserves.

It helps to modulate brain activity, control coordination and movement, and regulate the flow of information to different areas of the brain.

A massive disturbance of dopamine regulation in the brain can result in a person no longer being able to respond emotionally or express his or her feelings in an appropriate way

Doctor changes his thoughts . . .

Our doctor, who was totally against the beCALM'd or anything else, is now telling others about the beCALM'd. Why are some doctors so closed minded to things such as this?
